Red OctoberFit: Redefining the Art of Fitness in 2016

 Mixed Martial Arts contenders know without a doubt that total-body fitness is a key part of a winning fighter. That means strength, flexibility, a solid core, and – most importantly – endurance. The ability to last through a treadmill session is quite a bit different from having the stamina to go round-after-round in the ring.

 So where do you sit on that sliding scale of fitness? If you’re ready to find out, prove  yourself, and win some prizes, then you’re ready to sign up for Red Octoberfit’s premier competition this Summer. It’s the first of its kind and the first in our emerging challenge series, so you’ll be getting right in on the ground floor of something intense (and your whole family can enjoy it!)


Imagine running 2 miles, completing hundreds of kicks, punches, and elbows, and sprinting from station to station doing push-ups. Now imagine having to do all of this in less than 20 minutes! It’s fitness from a fighting perspective, and it will push you to your limits.


It’s going to be tough, but as I said, everyone is invited to participate! The challenges are slightly different between male and female contenders, and there will even be youth events held the day before the main competition. That includes a scaled-down version of the challenge course designed just for the kids! These young competitors will receive an Red OctoberFit Fest certificate, courtesy of our great sponsors.

There are plenty of great prizes up for grabs for the adults, too. Those who complete the first-day challenges will be eligible for trainer certification at half price. The contenders who finish in the top-five will receive fully-approved certification at no charge. There’s also prize money (starting at $250) at stake, so even though the point is to test yourself, there are plenty of reasons to give it your all against the other competitors!

If you feel like you’ve hit a wall, plateaued on your workout, or if you’re just ready to take on the next challenge, Red OctoberFit is your match. You’re going to discover hidden capacities, use muscles you didn’t even know you had, and really put your body to the test! This is no casual stroll through the gym, but there are no fitness requirements to participate; you only have to bring a desire to push yourself and to have a good time!

Registration is only $35 for adults (for the 1st 30 days, then $45 there after) and $20 for children 13-17 and $15 for 7-12 yrs and waivers must be signed and dated before entrants are allowed to compete.
